About — Thinking Inside the Box

Thinking Inside the Box: 1973 is the second edition of the 2022 student-led exhibition project focusing on Latin American political poster and pamphlet archives.

50 years have passed since Latin America’s 1973. As part of Thinking Inside the Box this year, we’ve taken inspiration from the activism, resistance, and struggle found in political pamphlets, posters, and music collections to emerge from this context. Led by students across Universities of London and Leeds, Thinking Inside the Box: 1973 presented a festival of events between London and Leeds in April 2023, including exhibitions, seminars, music performances and workshops.
